THE ANOINTING BREAKS EVERY YOKE
SERMON STARTER
God's people are enslaved by the Spirit of our Age. Slavery and bondage easily occur because of our poor choices. Enslavement is so easy, but God has given us power and authority to break every yoke of entanglement. His favor is life. His anointing breaks every yoke. I have heard Pentecostal evangelists use this term over and over, but seldom understood its full meaning.
There are four levels of Demonic Infection:
1) OPPRESSION - The enemy attacks through perceived stressors. The initial attacks are from the OUTSIDE of a believer's mind or body. Oppression can become stress which can become either depression or physical sickness. Either way it initially comes from outside ourselves.
2) OBSESSION - The enemy's flaming arrows has found a chink in our spiritual armor and we begin to fret and worry over things with which we have no power or control. Now, the thoughts of powerlessness roll through our minds and we obsess on them. The enemy is advancing in his desire to control us at this point.
3) BONDAGE - We seek artificial methods of mood-lifting through street drugs and illegally-obtained drugs that temporarily lift our mood, but leave us with life-harming consequences. The enemy has placed his yoke on us and has saved himself the assignment of a harassing demonic entity.
In a sense we have enslaved ourselves with our desire for a quick way to get spiritual relief.
4) POSSESSION - The enemy has now found residence in the person whom he is targeting. He doesn't do this often because it is labor intensive and he has to assign a demonic entity to dwell within a person.
Jesus Christ has His incredible power to break every yoke of bondage either we or the enemy has placed on us. Scripture has clearly said in John 8:36, ". . .If the son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."

The Holy Spirit

He took the shapeless pieces

Of my life and made them whole,

And with exquisite tenderness,

He sanctified my soul.

He burned into my senses all

He wished for me to be,

And took the perfume of His love

And poured it over me.

And I have come to know Him

In a way I can't explain;

He is my dear companion

Down this road I have begun,

At whose ending I will find

...The Father and the Son!

Speaking to a large audience, Evangelist D.L. Moody held up a glass and asked, "How can I get the air out of this glass?" One man shouted, "Suck it out with a pump!" Moody replied, "That would create a vacuum and shatter the glass." After numerous other suggestions Moody smiled, picked up a pitcher of water, and filled the glass. "There," he said, "all the air is now removed." He then went on to explain that victory in the Christian life is not accomplished by "sucking out a sin here and there," but by being filled with the Holy Spirit.

THE YOKE OF BITTERNESS
Eg. Middle aged woman referred by my doc. Took her to minutes to get out of my car and into my office.

Galatians 5:1 (NKJV) says:

1       Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

I am sure that most of you feel as I do – it is time for us to take the upper hand through the power that God gives us to overcome every hindrance brought against us.  But we will never succeed in our own strength.  We have to stop fighting our own battles with our puny strength.  We must have the strength God provides.

Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) says it’s…

6       … 'Not by [our] might nor by [our] power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts.

Whether we like it or not, we are in a battle with an unseen enemy.  The devil has declared an all-out war on the Church.  He is out to sift you and cause you to stumble in any way he can.  Our real enemy is not the visible people we see around us.

Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

12     For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

2 Corinthians 10:2-5 (NKJV)
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NIV)
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Leviticus 26:13 (NKJV)
13 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.
