A new type of Codependency Group is opening soon in the Shenango Valley. A specialty support group is reaching out to help families who have lost loved ones to alcohol or drug abuse. Codependency and Grief is the theme of the proposed groups. For 28 years, Sheepfold Ministries of Sharon, PA has ministered to the grieving. In conjunction with the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral home Hubbard, Ohio, hundreds of grieving people and families have benefited from the insight and instruction of Reverend Philip Roland. Reverend Roland holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. For more than eight years the Sheepfold has operated morning support groups in codependency recovery. A new era of ministry is beginning as Pastor Roland offers his instruction, training and practical experience to help families cope with Codependency and Grief. Families suffering from substance abusive family members, especially those who have loved ones who have died from drug and alcohol abuse are invited to attend his new Tuesday morning support groups. Hurting families will benefit from Pastor Roland’s decades of grief experience as he works with families caught up in enabling the addictive lifestyle. Pastor Roland’s grief counseling and love for people will give the grieving encouragement and insight into coping with the unexpected. The classes are free, but participants must register to participate. The groups will meet Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am at Sheepfold Ministries, 233 North Irvine Avenue in Sharon, Pennsylvania.
